Meet Kirsty
Founder & Companion
Kirsty is Nantwich born and bred and is often described as the "yellow sunshine" in the room thanks to her warm, positive personality. She loves the simple things in life and is happiest living life in the slow lane. Whether she's baking, cooking, getting lost in a good book, watching a TV drama or heading out for a countryside walk, she believes it's the little moments that bring the greatest joy.
Having worked in the local community for 18 years, Kirsty has supported people from all walks of life and understands just how much meaningful companionship can improve someone's wellbeing and confidence. Her passion for helping others inspired Side by Side Cheshire, where she provides befriending services in Cheshire centred around genuine connection, trust and kindness rather than simply completing tasks.
Above all, Kirsty is a proud mum, daughter, sister and friend who values family, compassion and making the most of every day. She believes everyone deserves to feel valued, listened to and supported, which is why she takes the time to build real relationships through a personalised befriending service that helps people continue enjoying life with confidence.
Meet Lianne
Founder & Companion
Lianne is also Nantwich born and bred and quite simply one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. She has a naturally caring nature and loves helping others, which is reflected in everything she does. Cleaning is definitely her language of love, and nothing brings her more joy than a sparkling home, a bottle of polish and a trusty cleaning spray in hand!
Alongside her passion for helping others, Lianne is a devoted mum who pours her heart and soul into her two children. After a busy day, you'll usually find her putting her feet up and relaxing with a well-earned Pepsi Max before doing it all again the next day.
Lianne's warm, approachable personality helps clients feel comfortable from the very first visit, allowing genuine friendships to grow naturally over time. Together with Kirsty, she is proud to provide befriending services in Cheshire that are centred around kindness, trust and meaningful companionship.
Whether it's enjoying a walk, attending appointments together, sharing a hobby or simply chatting over a cup of tea, Lianne believes it's often the smallest moments that have the biggest impact on someone's day.
Why We Started Side by Side Cheshire
We founded Side by Side Cheshire because we saw how many adults were feeling isolated, even though they didn't necessarily need traditional care.
Our aim has always been to provide a professional yet personal befriending service that gives people something to look forward to, while giving families complete peace of mind.
Unlike traditional care or medical visits, our time is centred around companionship. We focus on building trust, encouraging independence and helping people stay connected with their local communities, hobbies and interests.
Every visit is tailored to the individual because we know no two people are the same. Whether someone would benefit from regular company at home, support getting out and about or simply having someone to share conversation with, our befriending services are designed around what matters most to them.
